How to integrate Outlook-Asana bundle using Zapier?

How the integration works:

• In the Outlook calendar, a new event is created
• Zapier adds a new task to Asana

1. Creating the Zap. When on the “Dashboard” tab, select the Outlook and Asana apps and click on the “Make a Zap” button:

2. Selecting the trigger event. This event, which occurs in the trigger app, tells Zapier that the Zap should be started.

Select “New Calendar Event” in the dropdown menu and click Continue. This way, the trigger will activate only when a new event is created in Outlook.

3. Then, you need to choose your Outlook account and click on “Continue”

4. Next, you need to set up the trigger settings by choosing the target calendar in Outlook and clicking on “Continue”

5. The next step is to test the trigger we’ve just created, by clicking on the “Test Trigger” button

6. When you see the message that the event was found, click “Continue”

7. Setting up data reception in Asana. In the next dialogue box, you need to specify the action that will be executed when a new event in Outlook is created. Select the “Create Task” option in the dropdown menu and click “Continue”

8. Then you need to select your Asana account and click “Continue”

9. Then, you’ll need to configure the action in Asana by filling out all required fields and variables from the dropdown menus, and after that click on “Continue”

10. Then, you have to test the connection between Outlook and Asana by clicking on “Test & Continue”

11. In the next dialogue, you’ll see the message that the task was sent to Asana

12. Then, you have to check the data in Asana

13. If everything is correct, click on “Publish Zap”
